Please note all furniture must be delivered and collected only, all furniture conditions must be adhered to to preserve the quality of our products. Delivery / collection fee P.O.A.
Hiline Events
1. Definitions
• “Client” refers to the person, organisation, or company hiring equipment or services from
Hiline Events
• “Business”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to Hiline Events, operating in South Australia.
• “Equipment” means all items hired by the Client, including furniture, lighting, décor, etc.
• “Hire Period” means the time from delivery or pickup until the return or collection of equipment.
2. Bookings and Payments
2.1 All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 30%
2.2 Full payment is required at least [e.g. 7 days] prior to the event date. Failure to pay in full may result in cancellation of the booking.
2.3 Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, or other methods as agreed.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1 Cancellation by the Client must be provided in writing.
3.2 The following cancellation fees apply:
• More than 14 days before event: Deposit forfeited.
• 7–14 days before event: 50% of total hire cost.
• Less than 7 days before event: 100% of total hire cost.
3.3 Cancellations due to weather or other unforeseen events will still incur cancellation fees unless otherwise agreed.
4. Delivery and Collection
4.1 Delivery and pickup services may incur additional charges based on distance, access, and timing.
4.2 The Client must ensure clear access to the delivery location and notify us of any potential obstacles (e.g., stairs, narrow entry points).
4.3 If the Client is not present during delivery, we will set up as per agreed instructions and are not liable for placement issues.
5. Use of Equipment
5.1 The Client agrees to:
Use all equipment only for its intended purpose.
Keep all equipment in good condition and under supervision during the hire period.
Ensure the venue is safe and suitable for the equipment provided.
5.2 Equipment must not be moved to another location without prior consent.
5.3 No decorations (e.g. tape, pins, adhesives) may be attached to equipment without approval.
6. Loss or Damage
6.1 The Client is responsible for all equipment from delivery until collection.
6.2 Any loss, damage, or theft will result in charges equal to the repair or replacement value of the items.
6.3 The Client must report any damage or malfunction immediately.
7. Weather Conditions
7.1 The Client acknowledges that outdoor events are subject to weather risks. We do not accept responsibility for damage or inconvenience caused by adverse weather.
7.2 In the event of extreme conditions (e.g., high winds, storms), we reserve the right to delay, alter, or cancel setup to protect safety and equipment.
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1 Hiline Events holds public liability insurance, but this does not cover negligence or misuse by the Client.
8.2 We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by the Client or their guests arising from the use of our equipment.
8.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring all permits and council approvals (if required) are obtained for equipment use in public spaces.
9. Indemnity
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Hiline Events, its employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the hire and use of equipment.
10. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, accidents, pandemics).
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South Australian courts.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming your booking, paying a deposit, or accepting delivery, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
